If You Love Me – Dreams in Static

Dreams in Static are back with another hot retro, soul track after their first single debuted on WSJ followed by 400 remixes by 40 plus countries.

Dreams in Static conjures up the aesthetics of Pulp Fiction & Curtis Mayfield. The upcoming album produced by Los Angeles based hip hop producer Diwon and multifaceted guitarist/bassist, Dugans will feature Akie Bermiss throughout. Bringing his own signature sound — with hints of Smokey Robinson and TV on the Radio – Akie Bermiss’ timeless dream-like voice breathes life and narratives into the Dreams in Static grooves.

Dreams in Static’s first single “You’re On Your Own” premiered on Wall Street Journal while AltSounds described their sound as “John Mayer meets The Rolling Stones with more soul; yes it’s possible.” I think they have a sort of TV on the Radio, Curtis Mayfield, Roots type of sound. They have been remixed over 400 times by people in 40 plus countries.
As the guys get ready for their next music video, they give fans a chance to hear another cut dubbed “If You Love Me”, off their much anticipated LP.

“If hip hop is dead to the underground and rock is dead to the mainstream, “Dreams in Static” resurrects the two and blends their elements into one sonic sonnet”
